These Cattleya orchids are sold as ‘bare-root’, meaning they are not potted. If we have them available already divided and potted, we will ship in pot to avoid addtional stress on the plants. These are 3-5+ pseudobulb front divisions cut off of some of our larger breeding stock plants. These do not make good gifts for the novice or beginner, but are meant for the serious cattleya collectors of hard-to-find, rare, and classic cattleya cultivars. Some are mericlones, but many are from original divisions. Mr. Odom has been collecting orchids for over 60 years so many of these are older varieties that you can’t find anywhere else.
