(Woody Phillips x Cornerstone). This cross is one of the last made by the late Plato Mathews. Woody Phillips is a small plant, half S. coccinea and has C. Bonanza as a grandparent. Cornerstone is a striking, very large-flowered full-shaped dark lavender/purple. We have seen purples, fuchsias, and magenta blooms with varying shades of sunny yellow to deep orange in the lip from this cross. These 4”+ fragrant flowers have great full form and color and the plant size is roughly between the large and small parents.
