Description
Our friend Victor Elliot crossed a reddish well-shaped schofieldiana to the richly colored peloric leopoldii both shown in the second and third photos. It will be very interesting to see how many of the offspring show signs of partial or full pelorism. You can expect tall sturdy bifoliate plants with heads of waxy 3″-4″ deep bronze flowers with darker brown spotting and a purple lip, however we are anticipating some nice surprises. The first seedling to bloom from this cross is the cover photo. Beautiful feathering on the petals showing the peloria coming through. Can’t wait to see more!
