Winter has come to most of the country now (except for us on our peninsula paradise!). We won’t be able to ship to much of the country for the remainder of the winter. We will hold any orders to colder climates until it is safe to ship–for many of you that may not be until next March/April. For those in less extreme climates, it may be a week or two delay until you get some warmer temps.
This includes areas in the western U.S. that may not be freezing, but the orchids have to travel through freezing temps to get to you. The only way we will ship to you is if you choose 2-Day Air shipping.
We check the weather every Monday to determine which areas are safe to ship to. You will receive an email with the tracking information when we ship. If you don’t receive an email telling you that we shipped, it means we are still holding the order. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
Odom’s Orchids has been at its current location for more than 50 years, and John Odom has been cultivating orchids for more than 60 years. He earned a B.A. in agriculture from the University of Florida. Louise Odom has been growing orchids for more than 40 years. Before getting married to John, she spent ten years as a business partner at Odom’s Orchids after beginning as a volunteer. Together with Rob (30+ years), Cristina (25 years) and Jeanne (30+ years) we have quite a few years of orchid growing experience, specializing in cattleya orchids.
